All lumber is regionally sourced from Sustainable Forestry Initiative members. It is used not only to create the structure, but the cabinetry, doors and trim in our downtown Nashville workshop.

We aim to produce as little non-biodegradable waste as possible during construction and are always looking for alternatives to petroleum-based products.

We preference materials manufactured using sustainable methods and high levels of post-consumer content.

When beginning the design process, we look to the natural state of the building site to guide us to a solution that is in harmony with nature.

Building codes in the US aim for houses that will last 50-75 years. The world is filled with structures much older. We believe that carefully selected modern materials installed with skill and care should achieve no less.
